v1.0.0

Linkly AI 1.0 is ready

Linkly AI 1.0 is readyLinkly AI v1.0: your context, one place

Linkly AI reaches its first stable release, v1.0. This version redesigns the whole app: all your material is laid out in view. The library, clips, index status and agent usage each have a screen of their own, so you can manage your knowledge files with ease and see how agents are using these knowledge assets.

1. Home: your knowledge at a glance

Chat is no longer the default screen. Open the app and you see your knowledge assets and how they are used right away; the index status and how AI uses your material, the things you care about most, are clear at a glance. A new getting-started card gets you up and running in five steps.

2. Library: manage all your knowledge assets

The new top-level Library screen lets you browse your local folders, the Linkly AI Space and your libraries in a directory tree. Click a file to preview it, or right-click any file or folder to chat about it directly, or copy it as a prompt and hand it to any agent to carry on.

3. See your index status, and how agents use your files

  • Index management: a clear dashboard of file parsing that also lists which files could not be parsed and why, with one-click retry.
  • Agent usage: every file each AI app has read is on record, and the record stays on your computer.

4. A reading view for clips

Web pages saved with the browser extension can now be read right in the app, with no more digging through folders. You can keep track of what you have read, and right-click a clip to chat about it or copy a prompt to carry on in an agent.

5. Easier agent setup

Send a single prompt to your agent and it sets up Linkly AI by itself. The CLI and the skills package install with one click and update automatically inside the app, so you no longer have to think about installing or upgrading them.

6. Other improvements

  • An all-new Find page with filters and sorting right in view, better suited to frequent, in-depth searching.
  • Notes can now be filtered by author, separating the ones you wrote from those written by agents.
  • A refined built-in chat: reasoning and tool calls are collapsed by default, and the layout and fonts have been adjusted for cleaner reading.

After the upgrade, the folder, knowledge base, index and MCP settings live on the Library, Index management and Agent usage pages. See the changelog for the full list.
